During the recent week I was away, Bill stayed in contact to report doggie doings and never missed a beat in maintaining the regular daily doggie routine. He expertly met all doggie needs and patiently indulged Chrissy’s and Mia’s crazy whims. Sometimes, included with other such delightful adult pleasures, this meant a trip to the groomer, a ride in the car, play with squeaky, tattered toys, an additional bout of exercise, a prolonged tummy rub, and sharing the lounge chair in the evening with a seventy-pound spotted dog hogging all the space and chewing a grubby knuckle bone.
No wonder my spoiled babies with great memories keep urging me to go out of town again. Chrissy, Mia, and I are most grateful for having met Bill and his lovely family. How nice that Pepsi, and Bill have become a valued part of our lives.
Having never left our dog Gracie with anyone other than family over the past 10 years when we had to be gone overnight, we were extremely reluctant to take a chance and trust someone else with her care. Our veterinarian referred us to Pet Sitter International’s website where we located Bill Daley. In talking with him we were impressed with his personality and credentials, so decided to invite Bill over to our house to meet them and introduce them to Gracie. He confirmed the appointment and they arrived, along with their dog Pepsi, right on schedule. Since Gracie is getting on in her years and so is Pepsi, It was clear right away that they shared many of the same concerns and that they were definitely “pet people”. As we sat and talked with them for a couple hours, our confidence grew and our fears abated, so we decided to trust our instincts. Long story short, over the summer Bill sat for us first for a long weekend, then later for a full week. Bill contacted us daily, at our request, to give us an update on how Gracie was doing. We’re very pleased and are happy we now have someone we can trust to take care of our Gracie when we want to take a couple days away from home on those occasions where we can’t take her with us.
